blog archive Friday July 15, 2005 | Bellydancing?!?!

HAHA…… so… much to everyone’s surprise, I …… have…… started……. to….. take….. belly-dancing lessons! One of my co-workers needed guinea pigs to see if she can teach. Yesterday was my first lesson. It’s loads of fun, although I did feel a little spazzy- but that’s nothing new. I even have homework for this week. I have to practice “snake arms” and “shimmy-ing.” I think these lessons will help me loosen up when dancing. (I have a slight problem with moving my hips- I DON’T!)

Well, this week, I’ve started on a diet. I tried Weight Watcher’s, but it didn’t suit me very well. I started to get kinda cranky at people, so I knew that this diet wasn’t for me. Instead, I’ve given myself a calorie range in which I can eat per day. It’s a lot better for me. In addition, I also write down what I eat, which seems to help a lot. It let’s me see what I’ve eatten, so I don’t eat as much now. I’ve also started exercising- minus running though. I despise running. I know, I know, it’s supposed to be really good for cardio and what not, but bleh. I would rather swim 20 laps than to run. Right now, I’m doing more crunches, tricept dips, work on the ball, light free weights, and punching bag. I know that it’s going to take time, but so far, I’ve lost 2 lbs. As of now, in the next few weeks, I would just like my bathing suits and stuff to fit better for my cruise to the Western Carribean. Hope it works!

Oh! and I finally got approved for a credit card… woo hoo!

I think that’s it for now, but my mind’s always a-brewin’…
